The Antioch Police Cadet program is designed to give young men and women real-life exposure to the field of law enforcement to determine if it's a career path they wish to pursue. They participate in civic events instilling in them the importance of commitment to their community. The Cadet program has been one of the most successful programs and many of our cadets go on to full-time police officer positions within the county. For those that do not choose a law enforcement career, the training, experience, morals, and ethics we instill in the cadets afford them the tools they need to be leaders in their community and productive members of society.
Funds raised in our annual crab feed fund the program each year and allow the kids to participate free of charge, covering uniform, travel, lodging, participation fees, and more. Much of which, would prohibit participation for most of our kids.
