Founded in 2012, Apollo Support & Rescue has saved thousands of animals that found themselves alone and in distress. Abused, neglected, abandoned, or orphaned, our efforts to give these animals another chance goes unchallenged. We also proudly support our local community through vaccination clinics and education. We invite you to join us on our journey to make a difference.
Who Is Apollo?
In 2011, our founder and president, Danielle Stewart, picked up a foster dog on her birthday that was in desperate need of help. The dog, Colleen, was pregnant with nine puppies, covered in ticks, and injured from dog fights.
Two weeks later, Colleen had her puppies. Unfortunately, all the puppies were lost but one, and Colleen did not make it. The last puppy was named Apollo, and as the only survivor of his family, he inspired Danielle to start Apollo Support & Rescue so more animals could have the second chance they deserve.
Apollo is now 11 years old and lives a beautiful life with Danielle. Thanks to his incredible story, Apollo Support & Rescue has saved thousands of animals - BIG or small, we love them all!
