Arc Herkimer supports individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities by providing crucial services, including residential care, day habilitation, respite, parenting programming, and much more. Unlike any other Arc in the United States, Arc Herkimer also has seven unique divisions that make us stand out from the crowd. Herkimer Industries, our vocational division, has three locations and a workforce of more than 100 people with disabilities who learn production and distribution skills. We own a golf course, the MV Golf & Event Center, as well as a restaurant to offer distinctive working and volunteer opportunities to our people supported. Our Career Connections division connects people of all ages and abilities with inclusive, fulfilling employment throughout the community. We offer door-to-door transportation routes throughout the county for all people supported, as well as public charters. We will soon be opening a café, which will serve as a training ground for people with disabilities to learn restaurant & hospitality skills, such as cooking, customer service, and point of sale. This, in turn, will open up employment possibilities for them at community eateries. Our Arc Park is one of the only fully accessible playgrounds and parks in the region, and also houses our business park, offering office space to several local businesses. We also own the Goods Store, a community and shopping donation center. Together, these divisions help us fulfill our mission of empowering people with disabilities and enriching lives throughout our community.
