Since its inception, Arizona Council on Economic Education has served more than 2,000 schools in all 15 counties in Arizona. Last year, along with our program partners, ACEE provided financial literacy, economic, and entrepreneurship professional development and innovative programs to 2,103 K-12 teachers, reaching 203,517 diverse students from 423 public, charter, tribal, home, private, and juvenile detention schools statewide. Eighty percent of the students were from low to moderate income families living in 87 cities including the most remote and rural areas of all 15 counties. ACEE’s reach became wider and more diverse, serving a record 204 school districts, doubling the average in the history of ACEE. We offered 176 programs to meet the various needs and demands of schools and
teachers to serve their students. The number of ACEE volunteers increased by an
astounding 86%.
In addition to our many current strong partnerships, ACEE established formal
agreement with the Center for American Indian Economic Development to serve youth
from rural and native lands in financial, economic, and entrepreneurial skills.
ACEE has a systematic evaluation process developed over more than 20 years. The
results are measured both quantitatively and qualitatively, and for its effectiveness on
the students as well as teachers, in the short term and long term. We receive verbatim
feedback from teachers and students upon the completion of each program to help us
continuously improve. In the short term, our programs have shown 86% improvement in
student financial literacy assessment, 40% improvement in math assessment. More than
95% of our students graduate from high school and pursue postsecondary education. In
the longer term, our students show 100% credit score improvement by age 22. That’s
why teachers recommend ACEE programs.
