The mision of the division of intercollegiate athletics at Arkansas Tech University is to provide and operate an intercollegiate athletic program that is an integral part of the university and community. In accordance with the university's mission, the athletics department operates all of its programs in a manner consistent with the pursuit of intellectual inquiry, education discovery and academic success. To this end, the athletics department conducts, supervises and evlauates a broad based, comprehensive program of athletic sports and operates an academic support program for all student-athletes. The division of intercollegiate athleticsw supports equitable opportunies for all students and staff. The intrinsic value to the participant is teh primary criterion by which the worth of the program is judged. The department of athletics provides the personnel and program, including community service that are necessary to eneable student-athletes to pursue excellence in developing personal, academic and athletic skills.
