The Arlington Margarita Society was formed over 40 years ago to collect as many toys as possible for needy kids at Christmas time. The purpose of the event has remained constant for thirty-five years. To help those children who are less fortunate by providing them gifts at Christmas time. This is accomplished by asking each attendee of the Annual Margarita Gala & Charity Ball to present a new, unwrapped toy ($40 minimum value) or make a donation of at least $40 at the door to gain entrance.
After the party the toys will be delivered to qualified needy children in Arlington by The Arlington Santa Cops. Toys should be selected to appeal to children ages 8 to 16. The Santa Cop Program is a 30 plus-year community effort by the Arlington Police Association Foundation and Arlington Police Department in conjunction with the Arlington Independent School District to provide a memorable Christmas for the children of Arlington.
