We serve as actors in scenarios during the training of new officers. We process paperwork, answer phones and take on tasks that allows more officers to stay on the street.Our organization raises funds to purchase items not in the APD city of Arlington budget. Most recently we purchased 6 drones; one for each of the 4 stations and one for the SWAT Team and another for the Accident Investigation Unit. The drones have been instrumental in creating a safer approach to tense sitiuations and also expedited locating suspects running from arrest. We have purchased lighting for our motorcycle officer units and lighting for the saddles of our mounted patrol unit. We buy water for each station as needed.
