ASIS International is the leading organization for security professionals worldwide. ASIS is dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and productivity of security professionals by developing educational programs and materials that address broad security interests, such as the ASIS Security Expo–GSX, as well as specific security topics. ASIS also advocates the role and value of the security management profession to business, the media, government entities, and the public.
Founded in 1955 as the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), the organization officially changed its name in 2002 to ASIS International. This name more accurately reflects the global expansion of ASIS, which now includes members in more than 125 countries.
