The ALNV is a chapter of the Assistance League, a national organization that has 22,000 members in 120 chapters throughout the US. Each chapter determines what issues need to be addressed and where in their local community.
Our chapter focuses on health and education programs primarily.
Weekend Food for Kids- provides supplimental food bags kids to in Title 1 schools
New Clothing for Kids- provides basic clothing essentials to kids in Title 1 schools
Literacy for Kids- provides help to students in our partner schools to help kids get a good start with fundamental skills and a love of reading
Build A Childs' Library- provides book to kids in Title 1 schools...some of whom have never owned a book.
