Assistance League of Rancho San Dieguito is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of children and adults in our communities. We are one of 120 chapters of the National Assistance League, a nonprofit organization that puts caring and commitment into action. Annually, our local chapter volunteers over 22,000 hours, and returns more than $100,000 to our communities through our philanthropic programs. Our major programs include: Operation School Bell, where we provide new school clothing to families in need; Scholarship Program, providing $1,000 scholarships annually, for up to 30 individuals, following the students through graduation with mentorship; Preschool Literacy Program, providing one-on-one tutoring to local children; Assault Servivor Kits, providing new clothing and toiletries to local crisis centers; One safe Place, providing necessary supplies to meet the needs of abused children and adults who cannot return home; Kuddles for Kids, partnering with local hospitals, fire departments and service agencies to provide plush bears and "critters" to children in trauma; Kitted items for infants of military families and the homeless.
