Assistance League of Seattle helps under resourced students in our city envision better futures for themselves with programs designed to build confidence, inspire, and create opportunity. These programs, funded by money raised at our annual auction, bring meaningful change to thousands of Seattle students and young adults every year.

Below is a brief overview of a few of our initiatives:

Operation School Bell: Building confidence
It is a startling fact that there are over 4,000 homeless children in the Seattle area. When a family cannot afford to cover the basic needs, it is hard for a child to get by in school successfully. Operation School Bell gives these elementary school students an opportunity to shop for brand new clothes and shoes. This wardrobe leads to a confidence that helps them achieve successes at school.

Enrichment Scholarships: Offering inspiration
Learning a new skill or being exposed different ideas can change the trajectory of a young student’s life. With Enrichment Scholarships, qualified teens can attend the camp of their choice, exploring interests and gaining new skills in leadership, music, art, computer science, journalism, and more.

Financial Aid for Education: Providing opportunity
For those pursuing a college education the road to a degree can be an uphill climb. Financial Aid for
Education provides scholarships to adults facing economic hardship who are enrolled in a King County public college or vocational school. With fewer barriers, students can better focus on the opportunities that lay ahead.
