The Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education (AEOE) strengthens environmental education in California by connecting providers, building professional expertise, and championing environmental literacy and outdoor learning.
As the professional association for environmental and outdoor education in California, AEOE provides programs and practitioners with the tools, resources, and expertise to ensure that future generations are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and experiences necessary to develop lifelong connections to the natural world and the commitment to sustain it.
AEOE's programs include a statewide conference, certification program for environmental educators, annual awards recognizing exemplary instruction and leadership in the field, online courses and workshops, regional meet-ups, statewide job board, teaching resources, and an annual Program Leaders retreat. These programs are designed to provide networking and career advancement opportunities while increasing the skillsets and knowledge of environmental and outdoor educators across the state.
