Horizon is a very unique organization. Nearly 30 years ago, during a time when federal and state funds were drastically slashed, a group of volunteers came together to form the organization, address an unmet need, and serve an underserved population: adults with physical disabilities. Horizon brings together adults with physical disabilities and able-bodied individuals who learn, grow, and challenge one another through year-long events, an annual summer camp and other recreational activities. As an entirely volunteer-run organization, Horizon depends on the donations of generous donors and sponsors to accomplish its mission to empower and enrich the lives of adults with physical disabilities.
