ASTEME is a 501(c)(3) non-profit school (EIN #38-3953027) that stresses the importance of access and socioeconomic/gender equity in the science, technology, engineering, and math fields. ASTEME has been part of the local education community for over 14 years and has worked with thousands of families throughout the city. We are particularly proud of the following unique aspects of ASTEME.

20% of our current student population attend with the support of our scholarship fund.
ASTEME has always supported gender equity in the STEM fields and has offered all-girls’ STEM

classes to encourage girls to pursue careers in the STEM fields.
Students who attend ASTEME have shown an increased interest in pursuing careers in the math, engineering, science & technology fields. ASTEME graduates have been admitted to M.I.T., Berkeley, Cal Tech & Cal Poly.
