aTeam Ministries is a local 501c3 organization that supports children and their families throughout Alabama coping with pediatric cancer via prayer teams, home away from home housing, financial grants and numerous events and activities. The founders, Jan and Andy Thrower, are parents from Birmingham, Alabama, who have a cancer survivor son named Anderson. To find out more information, visit their website

Each year we host our largest fundraiser to support the programs we offer to children coping with pediatric cancer. In April, we will host our 14th annual heart2heart event. The heart2heart event is an exciting evening, crafted to celebrate pediatric cancer patients and raise support for aTeam Ministries. The heart2heart consists of two main components: first, pediatric cancer patients are paired with professional artists to create unique works of art, and secondly, these pieces of art along with other items are auctioned off. Ultimately, heart2heart is all about bringing attention to and celebrating pediatric cancer patients and survivors. Here at aTeam, we look forward to the event each year: we hope you will join us this April to support patients and families battling pediatric cancer across the state of Alabama!
We are currently seeking gift certificates, merchandise or services for our mystery boxes or silent auction. The mystery boxes items are valued at $25, $50 or $100. Silent auction items are typically valued at $200 or more. In return for donating an item, you will receive recognition in our event program as well as signage at the event.
