The Attleboro Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is hosting its 10th Annual Patriots’ Day Dinner on Sunday, April 19, 2020. Proceeds from the dinner will enable us to continue the DAR mission of patriotism, historic preservation, education and veterans outreach.
Established in 1901, the Attleboro Chapter has been involved in historical, educational and service-oriented events to honor and preserve both the valuable history and modern-day service of those who have dedicated their time and lives for the United States. Our chapter house and museum, The Old Peck House, at North Main and Elizabeth Streets in Attleboro is a wonderful example of what we hold dear from our past. However, we also know how important it is to encourage our local young people through awards and scholarships as they learn to become good citizens and future leaders. Our programs encompass five local school districts including Attleboro, Seekonk, North Attleborough, Bishop Feehan, and King Philip. Another primary goal of our organization is to honor and support our veterans. DAR members have participated in events such as Memorial Day parades, flagging of veterans' grave sites, contributing to bringing the Vietnam Moving Wall to Attleboro, as well as each year providing local veterans with gifts during the holidays
Businesses who have helped us in the past include Applebee’s; The Newport Preservation Society; Boston and Pawtucket Red Sox; Boston Bruins; and Outback Steak House to name a few. Will you help us continue our mission? Please consider donating gift cards, or raffle/silent auction items to help us continue to service our local communities.
The DAR is a 501c3 non-profit organization, EIN # 04-6110301. All donations are tax deductible and will be gratefully acknowledged in our program.
