Austin Tenants Council serves as a mediator between the tenant and the landlord and help solve issues such as repairs, evictions, emergency mediations throught telephone counceling, in house counseling and crisis intervention. The Austin Tenants Council helps who has been discriminated against in the rental, sale , fianancig or appraisal of housing. We investigate complaints and coordinate legal services to assist victims of discrimanation when their rights under state and federal fair housing laws have been violated. We are dealing with a lot of evictions in Austin due to the raising of rent and real state high costs in our city.
