Dear Community Partner,
As Fundraising Chair of the Aviara Oaks Middle School Band Boosters, I am writing you today to request a charitable giving donation to our organization.
Aviara Oaks Middle School (AOMS), part of the Carlsbad Unified School District, is a California public school that does not operate for profit and is solely supported by state and local governments. The AOMS Band program is open to all 6th- 8th grade students and its mission is to provide students with an enriching, fun musical experience while also developing a level of musical growth and appreciation that will enable them to become lifelong advocates of music.
The band program is one of the most successful and popular electives on campus with over 200 students! This success is due largely from the leadership of our Band Director, Mrs. Katie Browne, whose hard work and determination has turned it into an award winning program year after year, and also, the fundraising efforts of the Band Boosters. The Band Boosters is organized and operated for the charitable and educational purposes of promoting and supporting the AOMS Band program.
Our major fundraiser for the year is the annual Hollywood Nights Concert on February 28, 2018. This special concert night showcases the musical talents of all of our band musicians to family and friends in the community. Monies raised during the event help fund the costs of concert festival fees and transportation, instrument repairs, music, supplies and many other expenses incurred within the program not covered by the school district budget. Your donation will be used as part of our Silent Auction held during our concert performance. All donors are advertised with your name and logo on the auction item and in our program which will be seen by over 500 attendees! We would like to receive all donations by February 16th.
