Avondale Elementary Alternative has been a valued part of the community for nearly 50 years. As a TDSB school, we offer a unique educational experience where strong partnerships between teachers, parents, and students thrive. These relationships allow our students to benefit from diverse experiential learning opportunities.
Part of what makes our school unique are the opportunities for students to explore the curriculum both inside and outside the classroom. Examples of these experiences include a school-wide overnight trip at an outdoor education centre, downhill ski excursions in winter, musical productions, weekly multi-age learning time, and more.
Our Parent Council is dedicated to ensuring equity, diversity, and inclusion in all events and activities, aiming to keep costs low or even free to ensure full participation for every family. To make this possible, we rely heavily on fundraising and are reaching out for your support.
