The Barren River Animal Welfare Association (BRAWA) is a 501c3 organization located in Glasgow, Ky serving over 44,000 citizens of Barren County Kentucky as well as surrounding counities via our programming described below. We are an open shelter providing services for homeless animals in our community who come to our shelter by way of Animal Control cases, citizen turn ins, strays, and owner surrenders. We provide adoption and transport services for nearly 4,000 animals annually as well as humane education programming iin partnership with area schools and organizations, low-cost spay/neuter services, and other community engagement. We accept animals regardless of breed, temperment, health, or other characteristics working tirelessly to find homes for these animals. We operate 100% by way of grants, donations, fundraisers, and adoption fee revenue.
