Bastrop CATS believes that all animals deserve respect and compassion. We assist people in the community to control the stray cat populations on their properties through humane efforts, including assisting with rehoming or finding rescue. We cover the entire Bastrop County area. Our primary focus is Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) of feral/community cats, education about TNR, and to provide lifesaving medical care for injured/sick community cats. Bastrop CATS was designated as a 501c3 in 2015 and has TNR’d almost 5,000 cats since then! We are run completely by volunteers and donations. We provided emergency medical funding for 59+ community and feral cats and were able to adopt out or obtain rescue for about 150 homeless and abandoned cats/kittens in 2022. Last year was a busy year and we were able to TNR 1073 cats! This year has started off with a bang and already 175+ cats have been TNR’d so far!
