The Bateman Boosters are a motivated group of parents and community members dedicated to supporting the families, students and staff at Bateman Elementary through fundraising, community events and volunteer efforts.
Located on Richmond Avenue just north of Irving Park Road, Bateman Elementary is a Level 1+ school serving a diverse student body made up of nearly 900 students from PreK to 8th grade. Our teachers, staff, and administrative team are caring and responsive, the optional dual-language program is flourishing, the musical and visual arts programs are growing and the Bateman Chess team is a well-respected competitor in the Chicago scholastic chess world.
Since the inception of our fundraising arm in 2016 we have successfully raised over $150,000 for the school. With these funds we’ve helped replace the auditorium curtains (from the 50’s!), install an electronic message board, purchase new classroom libraries, provide a gymnasium barrier, install modern water fountains with bottle filling stations and provide interactive whiteboards for all of our classrooms. More than just a fundraising group, throughout the year Boosters can be found tirelessly volunteering at the school and throughout the neighborhood, leading community events, building relationships between Bateman and local businesses and collecting donations for families in need. Suffice to say the Boosters aim to uplift and bring together every facet of our community.
