The Batesville Area Arts Council (BAAC) is a not-for profit organization founded in 1988 to promote the arts. The mission of the BAAC is to support arts education in the local schools and to promote the arts throughout the community by providing opportunities for artistic education, expression and enjoyment in Batesville, IN and the surrounding area. The Artist in Residence Program, the Visiting Artist Series, and the Young Artist Showcase are present in all six area Batesville schools. Additionally, the BAAC funds $40,000 of arts programming in the schools annually including fine arts, performing arts, digital arts, culinary arts and more. The BAAC presents many public events and installs public art each year for the enjoyment of our community - young and old.
