The Bay Area Crisis Nursery was established to help prevent child abuse and neglect by providing supportive services to families.
The Bay Area Crisis Nursery is the only crisis nursery serving the San Francisco Bay Area. We are the only emergency shelter that will admit children without parents, the only 24-hour childcare provider, the only out-of-home respite care program, the only free emergency childcare program for socioeconomically challenged families, and a necessary service for keeping children safe and out of the foster care system.
