Founded in 2003, Bay Area Young Survivors is an inclusive volunteer-and survivor-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our organization supports young people who have been diagnosed with breast cancer in the San Francisco Bay Area. We provide support groups, events and resources for patients navigating chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery, and multi-year series of further treatment and drugs after "active treatment."
We are fundraising to be able to continue to serve our members and continue meaningful programming such as support group meetings, social and educational events, and direct financial support to members in need, and to support our Bays Memorial Garden in Golden Gate park to honor members who have passed. Our memorial garden will be breaking ground in October of this year. We also provide further support groups and events for our metastatic breast canncer members.
