A non profit organization based in Weeping Water NE. We give to help fund research, promote education and give public awareness to Suicide. our annual Smoke Your Butt off Backyard BBQ is our biggest fundraiser, and draws the most attention to our mission to help end the stigma of mental illness.
Withh donations for our fundraiser we were able to build a $127K playground at the city lakes this past year. This playground serves birth through adult from the interactive double swing for adult/child to the ninja warrior course for the whole family to enjoy. Through fresh air, movement, exercise it releases much needed serotonin in the brain to maintain healthy mental stability, learn face to face interaction and to help reduce the keyboard bullying and online presence of society.
We have given much needed funds to youth sports, funding for school administration to participate in additional mental health training, speakers to come and talk to the youth about mental health, bullying and other social anxiety topics. We have 2 scholarships that are awarded yearly. Currently our next goal is to bring in the program 'Send silence Packing' through Activeminds.org.
