Becky’s Warriors NFP is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization started by a few friends who attended Marian Catholic High School in the 1990s to honor Rebecca Eaton Lopez. Becky’s Warriors exists to help ease some of the financial burden that comes with a cancer fight.
Some examples of our accomplishments: • We helped to reduce the amount of outstanding medical debt for a woman who has gone through two bouts of cancer in the past several years. She has made tremendous progress in her recovery and we helped ease the financial impact of her cancer fights. • We helped cover hospice care for someone who has had her income substantially reduced and has gone through a change in insurance; subsequently, her deductible increased dramatically. • In a small act of kindness, we helped a family enjoy the simple pleasure of being together for a family movie night as the effects of stage IV cancer continue to take their toll. • We helped cover the cost of tuition for five MCHS students whose immediate family member has been fighting cancer. Becky’s Warriors NFP intends to host several fundraising activities throughout the year including the annual Golf Outing each June, a 5K Run/Walk in the fall, and a winter event.
