Best Buddies is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships, and leadership development.
Best Buddies provides socialization opportunities so youth and adults with IDD can become more included in their communities. Through mutually enriching one-to-one friendships, Best Buddies participants are crossing the invisible line that too often separates those with IDD and those without. Best Buddies is building a more inclusive world, one friendship at a time. This year more than 600 youth and adults will participate in Best Buddies middle school, high school, and college programs in New Hampshire.
In addition to our School Friendship Programs, we have a Jobs Program that matches skilled and qualified individuals with IDD with businesses seeking enthusiastic and dedicated employees. We anticipate bringing the Jobs program to New Hampshire in the next couple of years. Best Buddies develops partnerships with employers, assists with the hiring process, and provides ongoing support to the employee and employer.
