Bethany Lutheran Church is a Great Commission congregation that serves Long Beach, CA and surounding cities. We strive to follow the words of Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20, "Go, therefore, and make diciciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have caomanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age." Having been called to faith in Christ, moved by the love of God the Father, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, the members of Bethany Lutheran Church are committed to the following blueprint: Worshiping Faithfully (Acts 2:42, Acts 2:46), Forming Spiritually (Colossians 1:10-14), Serving Passionately (Ephesians 2:10), Sharing Intentionally (Matthew 28:19-20), Giving Proportionately (Luke 21:1-4) and Connecting Deeply (John 15:5). We view our blueprint as a compass that brings us cloer to our Lord as we fulfill our Great Commission purpose.
