Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta is commited to defending potential. The children that we serve are among the most vunerable in our community. 82% reside in low income housing, 72% live in single parent homes and 27% have a family member who has been incarcerated. Last year we served more than 1,200 children in our community with outstanding results. 98% of the children we served were promoted to the next grade level. 98% of seniors graduate on time, and 99% of children served avoided the Juvenile Justice system. Through our unique mentoring programs we are able to serve children in our one to one community based matches, school based matches, and though our Beyond School Walls programs.
