Sheen Housing is a not-for-profit organization whose Emergency Home Repair Program has and continues to tackle critical home hazards that pose serious threats to at risk homeowners.
Housing plays a critical role in providing stability for lower income familes. Substandard housing leaves little money left over, forcing familes to make agonizing choices and budget trade-offs with negative consequences regarding food, utilities, healthcare and medicine. Substandard housing perpeturates the cycle of poverty.
Even with the many challenges we encounter, we continued to offer home rehabilitation and modifications for families, seniors, veterans and persons living with disabilities, removing serious health and safety hazards found in their homes.
