BlazeSports America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed in 1996 as the legacy organization of the 1996 Atlanta Olympic and Paralympic Games. Our mission is to change the lives of youth and veterans with physical disabilities through increased access to adaptive sport and recreation. We serve individuals with spinal cord injuries, amputations, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, visual impairment, traumatic brain injury, and post-traumatic stress and other physical impairments living in Metro Atlanta.

BlazeSports provides a variety of sport and recreation programs for kids and teens with physical challenges. We provide athletes with training, support and the opportunity to increase independence and improve health. Whether you want to compete on a team, try something new, stay fit and healthy or meet new friends our programs have something for everyone. BlazeSports year-round youth adaptive sport and recreation programs include wheelchair basketball, track & field, tennis, swimming, and BlazeTOTS (toddler program) throughout Metro Atlanta. We also host two large national tournaments Big Peach Slam Jam Wheelchair Basketball Tournament and Peachtree Paragames which is a multi-sport event and a week-long summer camp experience called Camp Pheonix.

BlazeSports provides veterans with disabilities and active-duty service members with training, support, and opportunities to become active and healthy all year long. We believe that sport and recreation are integral to the community reintegration process, post injury. Our programs promote inclusion and encourage the participation of family members and friends alongside the athlete. BlazeSports year-round veteran adaptive sport and recreation programs include archery, cycling, CrossFit, water aerobics, rowing, yoga, tennis, bowling, pickleball, T.E.A.M.
