Bloom is a non-profit foster care organization deisgned to strengthen children in foster care and to empower the families who care for them. We serve all children in Department of Family and Children Services custody in Georgia by providing them with phsyical, educational, and emotional support to prepare them for the next phase of their life.

 

We follow a three-pronged approach to recruit, train, and support, and this through three programs. We have a foster care program where we license foster parents to take in basic-level need children, chidlren with psychiatric issues, emdically-fragile children, and pregnant pr parenting foster teen girls. Additioanlly, we have a training program called Bloom University where we equip the foster parents the knowledge and skills they need to handle different issues that foster children face. Lastly, we have a free clothing resource called The Bloom Closet.This is where foster chilren can have a personalzed shopping experience and receive cost-free clothing, shoes, school supplies, toiletries, and more to help them transition into foster care.
