Founded in 1980, the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing is an independent, not-for-profit organization that offers robust specialty nursing certification programs fostering empowered nurses across the emergency spectrum who contribute noticeably to patient care, safety and outcomes. BCEN credentials are held by nurses and advanced practice nurses practicing in adult/mixed and pediatric emergency programs, flight and critical care transport, and trauma care. BCEN supports lifelong learning through the award-winning BCEN Learn continuing education online learning platform and regional BCEN Learn Live conferences.
