The mission of the Ventura County Council, Boy Scouts of America, is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. The Ventura County Council currently has over  4,500 youth served, including non-Scouts, 779 adult leaders, and we send over 5,000 kids to camp each year.

The Hal Watkins Scout Center located at the C. J. Daily Ranch in Camarillo is the home of the Council office. The Service Center has a Scout Store that stocks uniforms, books, supplies, and awards for the units throughout the county. The Council’s Scout Store and Conference Center provides three meeting rooms and houses the Scout Store.

It is the vision of the Ventura County Council to be regarded by the communities we serve as the premier provider of youth character development achieving the mission of the Boy Scouts of America. We will positively impact our local neighborhoods by recruiting and equipping deeply involved chartered organizations and adult leaders at all levels who build values, skills and leadership in our youth. Through Scouting we will fully prepare leaders whose values will have a profound impact on the community.
