My name is Crystal Gist, and I am writing to you on behalf of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford. Please accept this letter as an introduction to our Annual Golf Classic taking place at the Tumble Brook Country Club in Bloomfield, CT. Your support would be greatly appreciated in the form of any items/goods, gift cards or specific service to be raffled off during the event.
The country’s first Club, the Dashaway Club, was founded in Hartford in 1860 when four local women opened their homes to disadvantaged boys. Today, over 160 years later, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford (BGCH) is a leader in youth development, actively seeking to enrich the lives of girls and boys by focusing efforts on our six program pillars: Academic Success, Health & Wellness, Character & Leadership, DEI, STEAM and Workforce Readiness. Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as caring, productive, and responsible citizens.
To make a difference, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses in our community and our upcoming golf tournament is a great opportunity to support a worthy cause while receiving valuable exposure.
