The last 5 years I have walked in the Avon39 walk to end breast cancer in Chicago to help raise money for local organizations and help families battling breast cancer. This year Avon will not be sponsoring a walk so my team has decided to still have our concert fundraiser and will be raising donations for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. BCRF is the highest rated breast cancer organization in the U.S. - the only one with an "A+" from CharityWatch and Charity Navigator’s highest rating of four stars. Their EIN is 13-3727250.
I started this journey, because I lost two aunts in 2011 from breast cancer, I don’t want to see anyone else suffer like they did. Also, both of my grandmothers had breast cancer and I recently found out I have the breast cancer gene. I will continue to help raise money for this cause to help all women, men and their families. I still hope to try and raise the $1800 but can’t do it without your help!
I am asking businesses, organizations and individuals to help fund our cause by either making a monetary donation or donating items that we can raffle or auction off at our annual fundraiser (BreastFest9). We are hosting it again at Austin’s The Fuel Room in Libertyville on April 21st, 2018. Businesses who donate to our silent auction will receive mentions and promotion at the concert. If you are unable to contribute to our silent auction, ticket purchases are also welcome. Tickets to the fundraiser are $30 online and $40 at the door. Please enter my name in the comments after your donation via our site.
