Brentfield PTA is an association made up of K-6 parents, teachers, administrators and community members who work together to provide an exceptional educational experience and learning environment to help our children succeed today and in the future!
Together, we make this happen with our annual Paw Pride Pledge Drive and Membership Drive in the Fall; and school Auction in the Spring. The funds we raise from these events, allow the Brentfield PTA to support programs and events throughout the year as well as provide funding for programs and learning tools that enhance and enrich experiences in and out of the classroom.
What do we do?
Educational & Enrichment Programs
-Provide parent education speakers at designated PTA Meetings
-Provide classroom subscriptions: Time for Kids (K-5th) and Junior Scholastic (6th)
-Provide annual funding for Learning Enhancement and Academic Development (LEAD) fund for teachers
-Provide Arts in Education support through Reflections, the National PTA's cornerstone art program and competition
-Library author visits
-Multicultural Night
-Red Ribbon week

-" Back to School" parent coffee
-Ice Cream Social
-Buddy Fun Day (our version of field day)
-Family Fun Night
-Fall Carnival
-STEAM Day
-Instructional Programming: Skydome, Yuck Science, Rowdy, BMX Bikers, Traveling Dinosaur Museum
-Grade Level Programs
-Talent Show
-Beautification/Environmental support around school grounds
-Dads on Campus (DOC) - have a dad on campus all day everyday
-Field Maintenance - maintain sports/soccer fields
-Teacher Appreciation Luncheon & STAAR teacher treats
-Health & Welfare programs

-Incoming kindergarten Summer activities
-New Family/Buddy Family Summer Picnic
-WeeCat events on BFE Campus
Community Outreach Programs
-Support our "sister" school - Dobie Elementary with school supply donations; organized campus wide coat drive & Thanksgiving turkey baskets for custodial staff at Dobie and BFE; host teacher appreciation luncheon for Dobie faculty.
-Participation in RISD Council of PTA's Shoe Shoe Train, Clothes Closet and Used Book Fair
Communication Programs
-Coordinate & execute weekly classroom emails thru assigned room reps
-Develop & execute the weekly e-newsletter, Bobcat Bulletin
-Manage & execute the communication elements for the marquees
-Manage & execute the PTA website and online store
-Manage & execute the PTA Facebook page
-Develop & produce the PTA Membership directory
-Develop & produce the Brentfield Yearbook
-Provide public relations material to local magazines, newspapers & websites as well as RISD Times Now & Council PTA Link
