Bringing JOY’s mission is to help bring sunshine and JOY to patients diagnosed with cancer. From a coffee gift card to helping patients with rides to chemotherapy, and everything in between. We strive to support patients with cancer during a very difficult time in their lives and remind them they are not alone in their fight.
We provide Bags of JOY to Northwestern’s Warrenville, Kishwaukee, and Delnor Cancer Centers; Edward Elmhurst’s Naperville and Plainfield Cancer Centers; Rush Copley’s Aurora and Yorkville Cancer Centers and Riverside Cancer Institute. We also support Lurie Children’s Pediatric Oncology Clinics and provide Bags of JOY to our Veterans with cancer at the Edward Hines VA. In each Bag of JOY, we provide a $10 Gift Card, as well as two self-care items (hand sanitizer, inspirational notebook, fuzzy socks, lotion, chapstick, decks of cards, and/or puzzle books.) Our Bags of JOY are given to patients with cancer who are starting cancer treatment or need a little sunshine to live their spirits. We donate around 200 Bags of JOY each month to our partner cancer centers. We also provide gift cards to assist patients with their transportation needs. Additionally, we mail out comfort packages to patients nominated by loved ones.
