Brunswick County Literacy Council was established in 1981 based on the principle that literacy is critical to the growth andself- sufficiency of individuals and their families. That mission continues today. The Council works to improve the lives of Brunswick County families through seven specific program areas:
- GED Preparation
- Adult Basic Education
- Work/Life Skills Developement
- Financial Literacy
- Computer Literacy
- English as a Second Language
- Citizenship
