The scouts are a diverse group of girls from the Philadelphia area. They are involved in numerous outdoor activities like camping and hiking. Besides learning life skills, and practicing leadership roles, the BSA also encourages all of its scouts to be involved in doing community service and engaging in conservation projects. Recently, the scouts made a weathering yard for the injured raptors at a local Environmental Education Center, repaired a hiking trail at a Nature Center and worked on repairing the raised beds in the nursery area of the local Arboretum.
