Buddy Up for Life is a nationwide non-profit organization with locations in thirteen states and 25 cities. Our first location and our offices are located in the Columbus area where we have over 120 participants on our roster. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life among the nation's youth and people with disabilities; specifically, individuals with Down syndromethrough Tennis, Fitness and Fun. Our curriculum is designed specifically for Athletes with Down syndrome and is used as a vehicle to increase self-confidence, improve social skills and a create a sense of camaraderie with each other, the volunteers and family members. It is our commitment to provide programming to all of our Athletesregardless of their ability. Basic values are implemented and embedded through tennis and education including fun, discipline, hard work, improvement and success. Each of our programs Tennis, Fitness and Summer Camps promote fitness, health, sportsmanship, leadership and self-esteem.
Mission:
We exist to serve individuals with Down syndrome by providing a fun, active, and supportive environment for our Athletes to grow both physically and personally by engaging in activities that impact athletic, social, and emotional development.
