The Buffalo Genesee Camp Association runs as Lighthouse Christian Camp. Back in 1937 a group of Free Methodists started meeting in an Apple Orchard on the banks of Lake Ontario. This has grown to include all Christians with week long camps, weekend retreats and outreaches to get people from all ages to enjoy a safe environment and find peace in times of grief, sorrow and sadness. It is also a place where generations of families from the Batavia, Buffalo and Rochester areas come to enjoy quality family time and make memories. To help with operational expenses we hold an annual auction during our busiest week. This is Family Camp and happens during the July 4th week, 7/6 this year. Pre Covid we would have 700-800 attendees this week. This year is our 85th anniversary and with the last 2 years having Covid restrictions we predict this will be a record year.
