The Burn Institute is a 501c3 nonprofit organization serving the communities within San Diego and Imperial Counties. Our Mission is to educate and inspire communities to reduce burn injuries and empower those affected by burn trauma. The Burn Institute offers vital programs and services that help save lives, prevent fires, reduce burn injuries, and enable burn survivors to thrive. These programs and services include installing free smoke alarms for seniors, teaching fire safety at schools to grades K-6, providing a youth fire setter intervention education and assessment program for families to deter fire setting behavior, offering a week-long therapeutic summer camp for young burn survivors, providing support groups, and more!
