C5 Los Angeles is an award winning youth leadership and college access program that identifies first generation under-resourced youth in LA and supports them as they navigate high school, apply to and matriculate in and complete college on their way to their first career. Our innovative program that combines outdoor adventure and college access has been supporting youth for over 22 years.

Through our programs, we strive to level the playing field and help our young people create the future they want to see for themselves and their communities. Our results are remarkable with 100% of our student leaders graduating high school, 95% matriculating to college and over 80% either persisting or completing college in 6 years.

The city of Los Angeles is our campus and we partner with high schools, colleges, community organizations and parks in our neighborhood to run programs. Our Leaders come from all over LA County and the San Fernando Valley. 100% of our students are or have attended a Title 1 school and are living in homes where the average household income for a family of four is less and 40k. Additionally, over 95% of the Leaders are the first in their families to attend college. 500 students will be directly served through this program and range in age from 8th grade when they are recruited to college aged, 14-22. Their demographics are: 78% Latinx, 11% African American, 5% identify as other, 4% are Asian, and 2% are Caucasian.

Our students identify as 48% male, 48% female, and 2% non-binary. Lastly, 11% of our students identify as members of the LGBTQIA+ community. 100% of the youth we support are underserved and at risk.
