Calhoun County Senior Citizens Association, Inc., is a private non-profit corporation founded in 1977. It houses the Older Americans Act (OAA) project. A local Board of Directors governs all actions that affect the elderly citizens of Calhoun Count.
Community Care for the Elderly is a state funded project which works closely with the Older Americans Act, a federally funded program. Whereas OAA works with ALL senior citizens, CCE works with homebound frail clients.
The overall aim of these programs is to private appropriate services to help the elderly maintain their dignity and independence as long as possible.
CCSCA coordinated with existing resources, programs, services and funding sources to ensure maximum benefits to older adults in a cost-effective manner.
