Our organziation is the Cal Poly Pomona Communication department event planning class, Com 4446. Our school has a polytechnic philosophy that teaches its students through learning by doing. Our organization is raising funds for Cal Poly Pomona’s Alumni Night. This event has been put on for the last 30 years, by the the communication department and we wish to keep it going for years from now. Because of our goals to keep this unique and irreplaceable experience, that our college provides, alive. It’s the students’ jobs to raise funding for this event to keep it going. Our event is entirely student run, with the help of a teacher advisor guiding us along the way. Due to Covid-19 and inflation our group is having to fundraise more than we have ever before, through fundraisers and donations. The more funds we make at our event, the more we can provide future scolarships for students, as all extra proceeds goes towards that. Which is why we are so excited for the chance to be working with an establishment who also believe in the importance of education and providing opportunities to those who deserve it.
