Former Boston Bruin Cam Neely and his brother Scott established The Cam Neely Foundation in 1995 as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation. At the time, the mission of the Foundation was to provide comfort and support through the creation and operation of The Neely House. The House is a home away from home for cancer patients and their families while the patient undergoes treatment at New England Medical Center. Since opening its doors in August 1997, The Neely House has hosted over 1,000 family night stays. The newest project is The Neely Cancer Fund. With The Neely House secured, The Neely Cancer Fund is a natural evolution for the Foundation. Every aspect of what we do supports cancer patients and their families during treatment. The Neely Cancer Fund extends our mission to fund research initiatives and speed new treatments to the patient bedside.
