Camps for Kids works to assure that no Kansas City area youngster is denied the benefits of summer camp due to medical disability or financial disadvantage. Some of the many challenges facing these youngsters include spina bifida, cancer, epilepsy, diabetes, developmental disabilities, Tourette’s syndrome and neighborhood crime. There is no other organization in Kansas City dedicated to making camp available to all needy children!
With the help of many contributors and area Kansas Citians, our capacity to address
our mission continues to grow. Since its founding 41 years ago, Camps for Kids
has helped bring the summer camp experience to tens of thousands of children in
our community, regardless of their circumstances or the challenges they face. As we
look forward to the 2023 camping season, we continue our pledge to the 22 camps in
our network – that no Kansas City area child will be deprived of the impact and potent fun of camp.
