Camp Sue Osborn was created in 1977 by a parent of a child with special needs who wanted their child to have the same opportunity to go to summer camp as other children in the area.  Since its creation, Camp Sue Osborn has been dedicated to providing excellent, everyday camp experiences for individuals with special needs in Northeast Ohio. Our camp provides the full summer camp experience for campers that require modifications and accommodations to activities and/or the environment in order to enjoy camp to the fullest extent.  Camp Sue Osborn runs three camps every summer where campers enjoy swimming, hiking, science, music, nature & art sessions, all adapted so that every camper can participate to the fullest extent of his/her abilities. We are proud to serve almost 200 campers and their families each summer.  Our campers and their families describe the week(s) of camp as "better than Christmas"!  Many of our employees are involved in the field of education, and many are special education professionals.  This level of knowledge and experience in our staff allows us to serve a diverse population of campers.  Our Board of Trustees and staff are committed to the mission of Camp Sue Osborn and we strive to make every summer better than the last for our campers.
